As locals, we thought we would give it another try as it had been about three years since our last dissapointing visit where we had a terrible meal. However, we heard they were doing meals again, new tennants/mangers, so we went on Sunday. There was a que as the people in the line were waiting for vegetable, roast potatoes, cabbage, peas, carrots. Eventualy the bains marie was topped up with a mugfull of these items but no roast potatoes. The carver chap carved for us a minisule amount of meat that reflected an infants' portion and the yorkie, they needn't have bothered. The veggies ran out again, making us feel like refugees waiting for the hand out. Again a mugfull of veggies eventually came and we took our offering to the table less the roast potatoes. Sunday dinner with no roasties? Terrible. Of course the yorkie and the meat was ice cold by then. Apart from that, it was ok. Returning customers? it tuck them forever to bring the food out 5 of the group had finished the meals before the last meal had be brought out (mine) wouldn't of minded if they where busy but we where the only ones in there a couple of the meals where ok but most of them where over cooked or cold [Report for Removal] paul

We visited the Newdigate for a family birthday and found everything to our satisfaction. The waitress took care of all ours needs, giving us plenty of time to order our meals. When the meals came there was plenty on the plate. There was 8 of us in total all having starters and main. Four of us had desserts and there was a round of drinks. The bill came to less that £100 which is excellent value for money. [Report for Removal] Julie Matthews

food just about ediable, will not be returning. the pub offers 2 meals for the price of one but then after paying for the 4 meals and cooking 4, the waitress then can to give us our food,which took for ever so you order more drinks, clever move.she refused to give us the 4th meal as there was only 3 of us. as its 2 for 1 we always order 4 as there is only 3 of us, and would you normally pay 8 pounds for scampi i think not. ripped off and never going back.it advertises 2 for 1 but wont honour it, there is a sign outside, the menus 2 for one but they just take your money and dont care they have just ripped you off.[Report for Removal] mr kent
