The lunch was superb,the food was good, well cooked and presented. The surroundings and atmosphere were very good and the young staff had everything under control being very courteous and attentive. The only down side is the small car parking area.[Report for Removal] Peter Childs

Mark and Sam Cassidy have done an amazing job with the Walnut Tree. Although a new building, it instantly feels 'old' and traditional. The decor has lots of personal touches, and putting old photos of Mere on the walls is a great idea. The food is excellent value for money, and we have never had a poor meal there. Their training is top quality and that comes through in the friendly and helpful attitude of the bar and waiting staff. The floral displays are outstanding; it's no wonder that from a standing start they have gathered a large and regular clientele - they're doing all the right things.[Report for Removal] Peter Mason

I visited The Walnut Tree Inn this evening. I was the mystery shopper, well drinker actually. I have to say the builders have done an excellent job and the Walnut Tree is a lovely building. I was very impressed to see the young Bar staff evacuating the White Wine after serving a glass and replacing the bottle in a chilled area. Obviously good management techniques have been instilled in the staff. I was pleased to see that the food being served was of a reasonable price and I witnessed the waiters and waitresses returning the empty plates back to the kitchen area, proving the food was as good as it looked. A fine selection of Wines and Real Ales were on offer and I look forward to returning soon.[Report for Removal] Graham Jones - Pubsulike
